Prairie Gate

Prairie Gate in Kifisia, is a private residence’s main entrance that was designed to ensure the residents' privacy from the street without creating a visually dense and heavy volume. The design proposal was based on a bespoke design approach that creates a dialogue with the lush natural surroundings of the area, balancing geometry, materiality, and sculptural art.

The custom metal entrance gate features nature-inspired, wheat-shaped geometric patterns cut with high-precision laser. Green shades allows the structure to seamlessly integrate into the neighborhood’s color palette. The gate is anchored between two stone columns topped with marble slabs featuring recess between them, providing visual lightness, rhythm, and the desired level of privacy.

The architectural composition culminates at the arch above the gate, featuring a metal sculpture by Aphroditi Liti. The linear and botanical design of the metal gate serves as an aesthetic complement to the artwork, creating a unified artistic and architectural experience. The project stands as a characteristic example of bespoke design, where architectural study and refined construction detail meet art.
